Menstrual Disc

What is a menstrual disc and how does it work?
A menstrual disc is a soft, flexible disc that sits in the vaginal fornix (higher than a cup). It collects flow instead of absorbing it. Insert by pinching the rim, slide back and tuck the front rim behind the pubic bone.
How is it different from a menstrual cup?
Discs sit higher (in the fornix), can be worn during penetrative sex, and many users find fewer pressure sensations. Cups seal lower in the vagina and usually can’t be used during sex.
Can I use it with an IUD?
Many users do, but always ask your healthcare provider first. If approved, break the seal gently before removal and keep fingers away from the IUD strings.
How long can I wear it?
Up to 12 hours (depending on flow). Empty sooner on heavy days to prevent leaks.
Can I sleep with the disc in?
Yes—up to 12 hours total wear time.
Can I have sex while wearing a disc?
Yes. Discs sit high, allowing most types of penetrative sex. Remove sooner if you feel discomfort or notice shifting.
Will it leak?
Properly placed discs are very leak-resistant. Leaks usually mean the rim isn’t fully tucked behind the pubic bone or it’s time to empty on heavy flow.
Will I feel it?
When inserted correctly, you shouldn’t feel it. If you do, try repositioning: slide back and tuck the front rim higher behind the pubic bone.
First-time tips
Try insertion in the shower, use a water-based lubricant on the rim, bear down slightly to locate the pubic bone for tucking, and practice a few cycles.
How do I remove the disc without mess?
Sit on the toilet, relax and bear down, hook a clean finger under the front rim, keep the disc level, and remove slowly. Empty, rinse, and reinsert.

Cleaning & Care

How do I clean the disc daily?
Rinse with cool water first (to reduce staining), then wash with mild, fragrance-free soap and warm water. Rinse thoroughly before reinserting.
How do I sterilize the disc?
Boil in water for 3–5 minutes at the start and end of each cycle, or use the FeminyCare sterilizer cup according to its instructions. Let it air-dry fully before storage.
How long does a disc last?
With normal care, many users replace annually or after 12–24 months. Replace sooner if you notice tears, stickiness, or shape changes.
How should I store it?
Clean and dry the disc, then keep it in the breathable Feminy case. Avoid sealed airtight containers while still damp.

Disc + Case / Disc + Sterilizer

What’s included in each kit?
Disc + Case: 1 reusable disc + breathable storage case.
Disc + Sterilizer: 1 reusable disc + microwave/boil-safe sterilizer cup (follow included directions).
Is the case breathable and safe?
Yes—the case is designed for clean, breathable storage between cycles.
How do I use the sterilizer cup?
Fill to the line with clean water, place disc inside, follow the cup’s microwave/boiling instructions, then let cool and dry completely before use or storage.

Period Panties

How much can they hold?
Our high-absorbency panties are designed for heavy flow and as backup with discs on your heaviest days.
How long can I wear them?
Many users wear 8–12 hours, depending on flow. Change sooner if they feel saturated.
How do I wash period panties?
Rinse in cold water after use, then machine-wash cold with mild detergent (no fabric softener/bleach). Line dry only to protect the absorbent layers.
Odor control?
Multi-layer technology helps lock moisture and reduce odor. Proper rinsing and line-drying keep them fresh.

Safety & Fit

Is it safe to use a disc?
Made from body-safe, reusable materials. Wash hands before handling and clean as directed. If you have specific medical conditions, consult a healthcare professional.
What size is the disc?
Our standard disc fits most users. If you have a very low/high cervix or specific concerns, consult your clinician or contact us for guidance.
Postpartum or pelvic floor concerns?
Bodies change—if you’re postpartum or have pelvic floor issues, speak with a clinician before first use and test fit on lighter-flow days.
